A notorious two-wheeler thief Shibu Kumar who earlier managed to escape police custody has now been handed over to Bharalumukh police  in Guwahati on Monday by his own family members  .

The ill-famed two-wheeler thief was accused of several vehicle theft cases across Guwahati and was arrested by Bharalumukh Police.

But even though he was handcuffed , he managed to escape from the police custody while he was being taken for routine medical examination on Sunday and was not found .

After his escape , a search operation was  initiated by the Bharalu police and assured that the thief, Kumar will soon be behind bars again.

According to reports the thief escaped and fled to his home in Fatasil Ambari area of Guwahati.

But today morning on Monday , he was handed over to the police by his own family .
