Its weekend again . When we talk about weekends, many of us wishes to go for a movie with their friends or family or even a movie date with a special someone. But do you know there are many interesting behind the scene facts related to bollywood movies that we hardly knew. Today lets go through some interesting trivia of a bollywood horror movie that released in 2018 –and the movie is “Stree”.
Stree was a bollywood comedy horror movie starring Rajkumar Rao ,Shraddha Kapoor alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee and it was directed by debutant Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & D.K. The plot of the movie was based on the urban legend Nale Ba (“Come tomorrow”) of Karnataka which was modified as O Stree Kal Aana (“Oh woman come tomorrow”) in the film.
Naale Baa was an urban legend that went viral during the 1990s in Karnataka. According to the myth, a witch roams the streets in the night and knocks the door. Apparently the witch calls out a person outside a house in the voice of the person’s family members ,inorder to deceive the person to open the door. As soon as the person opens he/she dies.” So the residents came up with a smart idea of writing “Naale Baa” outside the doors and the walls of their house. So when the witch arrives and reads it then it goes back just to come again the next day and likewise the cycle repeats.
In some other variations of the myth, the spirit is believed to be a bridal ghost who roams around the town in search of her husband, She is known to take away the man of the house who is often the sole earning member of the family, therefore, bringing bad luck to the entire household.
