Gender Reveal parties are quite a trend mostly in western countries. The purpose of such parties is for parents-to-be to announce to family and friends the gender of their unborn child.
The parents-to-be do reveal which is done through colors. While pink colour denotes girl, blue denotes a boy. There are many ways to reveal the colour but mostly the father and the mother-to-be opens a big box full of either blue or pink balloons or they go for coloured smoke or a bunch of confetti.
The practice originated in the United States during the late 2000s but the trend quickly got popularized in many countries as well. However the practice has also been criticized for its extreme ways of announcing the gender of the unborn. Parent-to be sometimes take extreme extravagant ways for their gender reveal parties which is why there are also cases of such parties turning into disasters. One such party caused the El Dorado wildfire in California , which involved a smoking pyrotechnic device.
However following the trend of such “Gender Reveal” a couple from Philippines decided to simplify the reveal and keep it under low budget in the most funny and weird way. The couple used a toilet for the gender reveal of their baby.
It was the idea of the father-to -be named Banong Delos Angeles who thought of using a commode to reveal .
According to the New York Post, Banong Delos Angeles invited his family and friends at his home for a gender reveal party. But for the reveal he chose he chose to flush.
As per the idea , the stream of dyed water would announce the news. The father-to-be , Banong Delos Angeles even decorated the bathroom with pink and blue balloons with a handwritten sign that read, “press to reveal” hanging over the commode.
The man then pressed the flush and blue-coloured water could be seen, indicating that the future baby was a boy.
This simplified low budget Gender Reveal Party has now gone viral on Social Media.
