According to the Information shared by the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday, Indian institute Technology, Guwahati (IIT) place 7th position in Engineering and over all 8th rank in the National Institutional Rankings Framework (NIRF), Ranking 2021.
The National Institute Framework was approved by the MHRD and launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development on 29 September 2015. Depending on their areas of operation, institutions have been ranked under 11 different categories – overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental and research
Among many institute IIT Madras had emerged as the best institute in India, bagging the top rank in NIRF ranking, stated a report. Followed by IT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur have been placed in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively. Jawaharlal Nehru University and Banaras Hindu University have secured ninth and tenth ranks.
