Ahead of 75th Independence Day celebration, a Coimbatore based miniature artist painted the national flag inside his eye to show patriotism.
The 52-year-old artist called UMT Raja from Coimbatore used a mixture of wax and egg white to paint Tricolour in the eye. Raja said he did the painting by himself by looking at a mirror which took hours of concentration. Raja said he found it difficult to have his gaze fixed at the mirror and hence after 16 attempts finished the painting.
He added paint to a fine cloth-like film on the white embryo inside the egg shell and later pressed it to the sclera on the eye. Apparently, Raja has warned others not to copy him.
