Inorder to expand the export market , Mizoram for the first time exported a freshly state grown organic Pineapples to Dubai from Aizawl on Friday.
A total of 230 kilograms of fresh pineapples have been exported to Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE) after Deputy Chief Minister of Mizoram Pu Tawnluia flagged off the consignment . He expressed his happiness to see the huge achievement made by state farmers and it is for the first time in Mizoram that Pineapples are being exported to Dubai.
In Mizoram, Sialhawk village in Champhai District is the main producer of pineapple in the state as 60% of the state-grown pineapples are harvested from the village. The exported Pineapples are Organic . The state is also preparing to export another sample of Pineapples each for Doha (Qatar) and Bahrain.
