After winning gold in CWG 2022, Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu is back on action mode as she is seen starting her training for the World Championship 2022.
She has shared a short clip of her training on her twitter handle with a caption, “Back to training, Next mission is World Championship 2022.”
Earlier after winning gold in CWG 2022, India ace weightlifter Mirabai Chanu was seen spending a much-deserved time with her family in Manipur. But as we see now, The Indian weightlifter, however, has already set sights on the upcoming World Weightlifting Championships in Colombia later in the year.
In one of her interviews she has expressed that for her World Championships is the next competition which also acts as one of the qualifiers for the Olympics in Paris. The World Championships is going to be a massive competition with all the top-notch weightlifters there. It will be an intense battle and a fierce competition, especially from some of the top Chinese weightlifters who are her major competitors,”
Initially, the World Championship was scheduled to be held in China but this changed in March 2022 as a result of COVID-19 measures in China. Now the competition is scheduled to be held in Colombia.
