During a late night raid at Lengripara locality in Mangaldoi , Darrang district, the Assam police got hold of a fake currency racket. The raid was done inside a rented accommodation at Lengripara locality in Mangaldoi .
The six persons arrested are identified as Zaman Hussain, Anwar Hussain, Syed Hussain, Rijuma Hussain, Joba Das and Priya Rai.
During the raid Fake Indian currency adding upto lakhs and a currency minting machine was recovered from the possession of the racket by the police.
According to reports apart from many spots, the fake currencies were also hidden in the ceiling.
Further reports claim that the arrested persons were also involved in a prostitution racket.
