Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) and Indian Hotel Company Limited (IHCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday to set up hospitality projects at Manas National Park, a UNESCO natural World Heritage Site.
The Indian Hotels Company Limited which is a part of India’s Tata Group is an Indian hospitality company managing a portfolio of hotels, resorts, jungle safaris, palaces, spas and in-flight catering services.
IHCL’s Taj Group will construct its Ginger brand hotel in Manas National Park as per the MoU which was signed at Janata Bhawan in the presence of Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Pramod Bodo and IHCL officials.
Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah stated that the Ginger brand hotel will have 70-80 rooms and will be constructed in an area of 3.25 acres of land. It is expected that this hotel will increase both domestic and foreign tourists.
