Post Covid pandemic the Burning Man festival was held after three years in the Black Rock Desert, northwestern Nevada, U.S. And after a nine-day long music and culture festival ended in Nevada in the United States on Monday those leaving from the venue in the Black Rock desert found themselves stuck in an eight-hour-long traffic jam as thousands of vehicles lined up at the same time.
The pictures that are now going viral on social media show thousands of vehicles lined up in at least 15 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic for miles, all trying to exit the Black Rock desert at the same time. The Burning Man festival which was held ahead of the Labour Day, people travelled from across the globe in thousands. The festival saw 80,000 attendees.
The Burning Man’s official Twitter account also tweeted on Monday to say, “Exodus wait time is currently around eight hours. Consider delaying your departure until conditions improve.”
Reportedly some of the attendees even had to wait for 12 hours to leave the event .
People travelled from across the globe in thousands, dressed in bizarre outfits to party the week away. The festival marked the closing with the burning of an effigy, called the Burning Man. Since it’s inauguration in 1989, this has been the traditional way to close the festival.
Exodus wait time is currently around 8 hours. Consider delaying your departure until conditions improve. If you must leave now, drive on L Street to prevent traffic jams. Drive slowly, watch for road debris, follow directions from Gate staff, and listen to BMIR 94.5FM.
