As per latest reports , Dubai is getting ready to create a massive luxurious moon-shaped resort. According to an Arabian Business report, Moon World Resorts (MWR), a Canadian architecture firm, has suggested building a resort resembling the shape of the moon in Dubai thereby aiming to provide guests the affordable space tourism on Earth.
The exterior of the massive resort will resemble the surface of the moon, is expected to be built in 48 months and rise 735 feet. As claimed by the architecture firm , “Moon Dubai” will strengthen the emirate’s economy in multiple sectors, including tourist attractions ,hospitality, technology ,entertainment, education, environment, and space tourism.
According to Sandra G. Matthews and Michael R. Henderson , the founders of Moon World Resorts , Moon Dubai will be the massive and most successful modern tourism project in the entire Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region,thereby multiplying the arrival of total number of tourists visiting Dubai every year. They also say that it can also host 10 million tourists each year comfortably.
Apart from the lavish and luxurious facilities , there will also be an internal “moon shuttle” which will give the guests the priviledge to enjoy the resort’s stunning surroundings.
The construction cost of the Moon resort is estimated to be around $5 billion which is roughly Rs 40,000 crore and the annual revenue is expected to be of $1.8 billion.
