An inspirational doctor is seen to be trending on all social media platforms for the right cause.
Bengaluru is being widely known for its infamous traffic and amid one such traffic moment which was made even worse by rains and waterlogging, Dr Govind Nandakumar, was getting late for his surgery but what came as a surprise was when he decided to abandon his car, and run the rest of the distance to the hospital.
Dr Govind Nandakumar is a gastroenterology surgeon and he was driving to Manipal Hospital, Sarjapur to perform a crucial laparoscopic gallbladder surgery on August 30. But as he got stuck in the last stretch of his journey on the Sarjapur-Marathalli stretch , he realised he was getting unusually late so he abandoned the car and decided to run and cover the rest of the journey.
Since he had a driver he was able to leave the car behind. Doctor Govind Nandakumar also said that since he was a regular gymgoer it was an added advantage to run on the road. He ran and covered three km to hospital and reached on time for the surgery.
However the doctor also added that this is not his first time facing such a situation. Earlier also a few times he had to cover such moments on foot in other areas of Bengaluru with sometimes crossing railway lines.
Although the incident was dated on August 30, but the moment has grabbed eyeballs now and its trending all around.
He even posted a short clip of his run on his Instagram handle captioning it as- “Sometimes you got to do what you got to do!”
