For the first time ever , Sikkim will be hosting Ranji Trophy matches when in the forthcoming season.
The Himalayan state of Sikkim will host three Ranji Trophy matches .Sikkim will play against Manipur, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh at SICA ground, at mining cricket
Previously Sikkim Cricket Association has hosted First Class matches at adopted home venues, and currently to be able to host Ranji Trophy matches, the biggest domestic tournament in India home is seen as a historic and massive step of advancement for cricket in the Himalayan state.
Sikkim will also host two Cooch Behar Trophy matches and three Col CK Nayudu Trophy matches along with Ranji Trophy matches.
On November 12 Sikkim will play against Assam in a Cooch Behar Trophy match at the mining cricket ground near Rangpo.
In the first of the Ranji Trophy matches that Sikkim will host, the state’s team will face Manipur on December 13.
