An appalling incident has left the locals in Golaghat completely shocked after a human foetus was recovered inside a box on early Thursday Morning. The shocking incident took place at Rangajan Bazar in the Golaghat district of Assam.
As per reports, last night the foetus was found on the roadside discarded inside a cardboard box at around 3 am. According to the locals, the foetus was delivered last night in the wee hours after a woman with stomach ache came to a local clinic. It could be a case of an unwanted pregnancy and hence to get rid of the foetus, it was left there.
Regarding the incident police investigations are initiated to find the source. A young tea garden woman worker is under suspection according to the locals.
Reports further say that the foetus is around eight months developed. The locals further say that a woman with stomach ache had visited the nearby clinic. So she is strongly suspected to be the mother of “the baby . Athough there are no strong witness to verify but if interrogated the doctor at the clinic might help to get any clue , a local added.
