An FIR has been lodged against the Producer/Director Aimee Baruah of the movie ‘Semkhor’ for depicting false story on Tradition, Culture & Livelihood of ‘Semsas’ of Dima Hasao .The FIR has been lodged by Mohendra Kemprai, Ex-Executive Member, NCHAC, & Ex-President, All Dimasa Students’ Union, against to the Officer-in-Charge, Haflong Police Station on Thursday .
Mohendra Kemprai has stated that as a responsible individual of Dimasa Society, he would like to draw the attention to the contents of the Dimasa movie ‘Semkhor’. ‘Semkhor’ the dimasa language film is based on the Traditions, Culture & Livelihood of ‘Semsas’ of the Dimasa Community residing in the remote area of Semkhor region. He also further added that any media house/publication is always welcomed by the Dimasa Society for making any documentaries or movie on their living and livelihood provided that it depicts the authentic facts and presents the actual picture with ethics and moral values.
