As per reports the Manas National Park is set to reopen for tourists from October 2, informed Manas Tiger Reserve Field Director Dr Vaibhav C Mathur .
Manas National Park was closed during the monsoon in June and will reopen from Sunday.
Meanwhile earlier the news of reopening the Kaziranga National Park for tourist from October 2 was informed by the warden of Wildlife Branch of the Assam Forest Department, MK Yadav.
Manas National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Manas is home to the critically endangered species like,Assam roofed turtle ,hispid hare, golden langur and pygmy hog, and other threatened species like the tiger, golden langur, Indian rhinoceros and wild Indian elephant. Manas National Park is also famous for its population of the Wild Water Buffalo.
