The newly constructed flyover near Arya Vidyapeeth College is getting ready to be inaugurated on September 30 on Friday.
The flyover has been in construction since the pandemic . Earlier it was mentioned that the flyover will be operational before the India-South Africa T20 match which is to be played in Barsapara Cricket Stadium on 2nd October in Guwahati. The decision was taken to avoid traffic jams as people will be flocking to Barsapara stadium to witness a cricket match after 2 years. The last cricket match in Guwahati in January 2020 at Barsapara Stadium between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned following heavy rainfall.
So as the new flyover is getting ready for the inauguration, the aerial night views of the flyover has been shared by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter. The aerial view of the flyover at night looks entirely spectacular . While sharing the pictures Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “ The New Glitter of Guwahati ! Sharing spectacular aerial views of the newly-constructed flyover at Arya Nagar (Sarabbhatti earlier). To be inaugurated on Sept 30, the flyover will ease traffic congestion in area and ensure seamless intra-city connectivity.”
