As per reports a medium-intensity IED exploded outside the residence of  former MLA, Loken Singh in Imphal West district , Manipur .

According to Manipur Police, the IED blast has partially damaged the gate of the residence along with a street lamp next to it and a portion of the road .

Manipur Police and bomb experts arrived at the scene and conducted an inquiry after the explosion on Thursday evening in Kwakeithel Takhel . However while the investigation continues , no arrest has been made in connection with the incident so far. And no one has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.

Reportedly , the blast took place shortly after Loken Singh entered his house.
