A Recent Image is seen trending on social media . A user shared the image to draw attention on a CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) prep book had some unfair information on its pages, which was highlighted as facts.
As per the racist comments presented in the book, it says people who come from cold places are “white, beautiful, well-built, healthy, and wise” whereas people born in hotter regions were “black, irritable and of violent nature.”
This kind of misleading information in the Indian prep book has shocked the netizens and people are seen throwing their angered reactions on the post. Meanwhile, some people expressed the need to figure out which subject would prompt a book to write such racist remarks.
CTET is a national-level exam that is held by CBSE for employing prospective teachers .And any type of distorted information in a teachers prep book triggering racism is extremely horrifying to accept. Books are meant for knowledge gain but such orthodox representation can trigger abuse and harassment in schools .
The audience of Indian commercial ads have always been amazed by the fairness ads. These commercial ads were seen misleading the audience to consider white skin as beautiful. Moreover India has always been obsessed with white complexion triggering racist mentality in people. Fair skin seems to be marked as a criteria for acceptance.
Now with this latest racial image of CTET book trending on Social media, the reactions of CBSE are yet to be known .
