Pukzing cave, the biggest cave in Mizoram is a major tourist attraction spot. Pukzing cave also called as “A Cave of Shouting Stone”, is located near Pukzing village to the North – West of Aizawl in Mizoram. The small village of Pukzing is located in West Phaileng Tehsil of Mamit district in Mizoram .
Puk Zing is a big and spacious cave with three chambers of about 4 sq. meters each of them connected with narrow passages. According to local beliefs , in the olden days the villagers used to hear evil spirits shouting inside the cave. Besides it is alos additionally believed that somewhere inside this cave, the legendary character Maurawkela hid the Magical Drum which he took away from a troop of monkeys after seeing them conjure fruits by beating it.
Moreover according to further stories the cave is believed to be carved by a man called Mualzavata who used just a hairpin for it.

Lengpui airport of Aizawl in Mizoram is the nearest airport to reach Mamit and the distance is approximately 95 kilometres which is almost three and half hours drive, then for railway connectivity Silchar railway station is the nearest railway station and the distance is approximately 130 kilometres.
The visitors can book a cab, taxi or similar other mode of public transportation to reach the destination. From Mamit one can avail bus services to reach Pukzing village.
