Hyderabad gets India’s first real-time Gold ATM. Goldsikka introduces its first Gold ATM in Hyderabad and it will be the first real-time Gold ATM globally. The speciality of this Goldsikka ATM is that unlike usual ATMs that dispense money, the Goldsikka ATM dispenses gold coins. Now here People can insert their debit or credit cards into the Goldsikka, ATM, and buy gold coins.
According to reports the ATM can store 5 kg of gold. There are 8 available options for the quantity of gold starting from 0.5 grams to 100 grams. Goldsikka Pvt Ltd launched its first Gold ATM on December 3 with Technology support from M/s OpenCube Technologies Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad-based startup company. This is the first real-time Gold ATM of India and the world as well .
According to reports , Gold ATM has a diverse set of uses, It is easy to use, available 24×7, and buy gold within your budget.
The Vice President of Goldsikka Pratap said, ” Goldsikka Limited company was incorporated 4 years ago. The company is into bullion trading. This innovative idea came from the CEO to use an ATM machine to dispense gold coins. After some research they found out that the concept can be applied . Later they collaborated with a start-up company called OpenCube Technologies. They together with their in-house department presented the design and development support with respect to technology.”
The vice president further added that the atm includes the feature of updating the gold prices live .
According to the vice president , the capacity of each ATM is to hold 5kg of gold, which is worth around Rs. 2–3 crores. “coins can be dispensed from the ATM ranging from 0.5 grams to 100 grams. A total of 8 options are available including 0.5 grammes, 1 gramme, 2 gramme, 5 gramme, 10 gramme, 20 gramme, 50 gramme, and 100 gramme. Because of these features people can directly come here to purchase the coins instead of visiting jewellery stores. These coins are 24-carat gold and 999 certified.
Customers can get their investment returns at a live price without any wastage. The ATM holds a prime feature of showing live price updates. The London bullion market is taken as its market year. Along with the prices the taxes are also updated and displayed on the screen.
The Vice president further said that the gold ATM witnessed a footfall of around 20 people till the afternoon. We are hoping to see more people using this .”
He further reveals of expanding the Gold ATM to South India and set up about 3,000 ATMs there. Moreover he also informs about their plans to global as well .
Regarding security , he mentioned about the safety features of the ATM which has a built-in camera and sound alarm system which will trigger if there someone tries to tamper with it. We have 3 external CCTV cameras and we are also getting tied up with local police stations,” he added.
