Although it was unexpected looking at the current situation of Bollywood films turning into disasters , Drishyam 2 didn’t just impress the audience but also managed to score massively in the box office .
As per latest reports ,the mystery thriller film directed by Abhishek Pathak and starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, in the leads have entered Rs 200 cr Club. Besides Dhrishyam 2 becomes the third Hindi film to enter Rs 200 crore club in 2022 after Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files.
If reports are to be believed then, even the makers of the film are shocked with the performance and scores of the film. In an interview the director Abhishek Pathak was quoted as saying that he didn’t imagine in his wildest dreams that the movie will do such great business.
Drishyam 2 featured Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor and Tabu, who reprised their roles from the first part of the thriller. Akshaye Khanna marks his entry into the second part of the film who plays a cop.
The film is a remake of the acclaimed Malayalam film of the same name starring Mohanlal. Earlier there were some claims made by some fans that Drishyam 3 is happening . Moreover Drishyam 3 was confirmed by Producer Antony Perumbavoor last year itself.
Jeethu Joseph the director of the Malayalam version had said that the climax of Drishyam 3 is ready. In an interview he was once quoted as saying -“I already have a climax ready for the third film. Let’s see if I can build towards that end.”
