The jury for the 68th National Film Awards announced the winner for the year 2020 who did excellent work in their respective films.
Bridge, Assamese Film directed by Kripal Kalita, received the best Assamese film award with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
Karbi film Kachichinithu ‘The boy with a gun’ produced and directed by Khanjan Kishore Nath, won the best short fiction film award.
Manah Aru Manuh ‘Manas and people’ produced by the Manas National Park and Aaranyak and directed by Dip Bhuyan, received the best environment film award.
Another, master peace film Semkhor’ – directed by Aimee Baruah and produced by Aimee Baruah Production Society, has been declared as the ‘Best Dimasa Film’. Besides, Special Jury Mention has been awarded to – Actress Aimee Baruah from Assam.
Best feature film award was bagged by Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru. The Film is directed by Sudha Kongara.
The best actor award for 2020 was shared between Suriya for Soorarai Pottru and Ajay Devgn for the Hindi movie Tanhaji. Tanhaji ‘The Unsung Warrior’ grabs Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
‘The Longest Kiss’ by Kishwar Desai wins Best Book on Cinema for the year while Malayalam book ‘MT Anunahvangalude Pusthakam’ and Odia book ‘Kali Paine Kalira Cinema’ win special mention.
Madhya Pradesh won the most friendly state award. Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh get Special Mention.
