Actor Kartik Aryan who initially started his career in the comedy genre and still being mostly seen in the same genre has now decided to shift his genre to a completely new level.
He is ready to be seen in a grey character for the first time and will portray the role of a killer dentist in the upcoming movie , ‘Freddy’
‘Freddy’ is about the journey of Dr. Freddy Ginwala, a shy, lonely and socially awkward person who loves to play with his miniature planes and the only friend he has is his pet turtle ‘Hardy’.
Disney+ Hotstar recently announced their upcoming spine chilling romantic thriller ‘Freddy’.Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F, Freddy will release on December 2 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
The recently released trailer of Freddy has impressed the fans of Kartik Aryan after seeing him in a never seen before role.
However the behind the scenes preparation for the role was not easier for kartik as this was his first time attempting to step into a negative role. He even mentioned in an interview about having disturbing nights because of Freddy . While it was important to stay focused in the character to meet the desired expectations and while shooting for Freddy , he even curtailed his regular activities to stay focussed on his film and character.
Restricting himself from his regular activities gave him a tough fight and after the shooting of the film finished , Kartik reconnected with his family and friends who helped him stay grounded and return back to reality and normalcy.
As per reports , after Freddy Kartik has two more films ready for release. He will be first seen in Shehzada releasing in February 10, 2023, directed by Rohit Dhawan which is the official remake of Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. His next release of 2023 is Sameer Vidwans’ Satyaprem Ki Katha.
