Tage Rita Takhe , a prominent entrepreneur from Arunachal Pradesh has been nominated by the US Consulate Office Kolkata to be a panelist at the upcoming ‘Woman Impact Summit (WIS)’ scheduled to be held from November 7-11, 2022.
The ‘Woman Impact Summit (WIS)’ hosted by Spain’s Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)-implementing partner – Heroikka, this forum aims to give visibility and access to women from across the globe without discrimination of origin or identity.
Arunachal Chief Minister ,Pema Khandu took to Twitter to congratulate the entrepreneur and he wrote,. “Congratulations to Smt Tage Rita Ji on being nominated by @ USAndKolkata to be a panelist at the upcoming ‘Women Impact Summit’ hosted by Spain’s AWE. Tage Rita Takhe is the founder of the first-ever pure & organic kiwi wine in India named Naara Aaba. On International Women’s Day, she was also presented the 2020 Nari Shakti Puraskar by former President Ram Nath Kovind for excellence in promoting women entrepreneurship and local product internationally.
Tage Rita Takhe who is an agricultural engineer from the lush green valley of Ziro is known as ‘India’s first kiwi wine brewer’. Takhe was honored with the ‘Women Transforming India Awards’ in 2018 organized by the United Nations (UN) and NITI Aayog for her outstanding contributions towards promoting exotic fruits of Arunachal Pradesh & generating sustainable livelihood for the locals .
She was also nominated for the coveted ‘US Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership’.
Tage Rita Takhe worked as an engineer with the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Works Department for 17 years before turning entrepreneur in 2017 with Lambu Subu Food and Beverages.
