A chinese couple from Hunan Province in central China who left their eight -year-old boy at home had instructed him to finish his homework and go to bed by 8.30 p.m. But after returning home the Chinese parents found their son skipping his homework and watching television instead .
Although it was a common scenario for a child of his age but the parents decided not to take this act lightly. And hence although the child went to bed after his parents were home , he was dragged by his mother back to the living room who then turned on the TV and forced him to watch it all night.
Initially the child seemed happy and relaxed but with time he was seen struggling to stay awake.
His attempts to return to his room was restricted by his parents who took turns keeping an eye on him. He tried to sleep on the couch but was again prevented from doing so by both his parents. As per reports the child was not allowed to go to bed until it was 5 a.m.
Now this video has received a lot of attention for teaching the boy a lesson but it has similarly been criticized and has also sparked a debate over parenting .
