Fired Twitter employee receives a 10-year work anniversary gift

“Got a special delivery today!!” , such goes the tweet of a former employee of Twitter who was one among the fired employees during the massive layoffs ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter .

This was certainly a trending news and post the layoffs several former employees of twitter reacted to it and shared about their experience and feelings on social media . However a similar kind of a post has recently grabbed a lot of attention on social media .

Elaine Filadelfo ,a former senior research manager for Twitter’s Consumer Insights division, shared a post about receiving a 10 year work anniversary gift with a note , days after she was asked to leave from her job after 10 years of her service .

She tweeted about it with an image . The note read: “Elaine, Happy Twitterversary! Congrats on reaching a huge Tweep milestone. We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish this year. #OneTeam — Twitter.”

While replying to her own post, she also added, “This is 100p real and not a bit. look at the date on the tracking sticker!”

The post was shared on November 7 and since then it has created a lot of buzz on social media. People commented differently on the mistiming of the gift.

Under the fresh operation under Elon Musk, around half of the man power roughly was fired last week . Earlier on Friday, Twitter had laid off close to 3,700 people. But as per some recent reports which claims that the micro blogging site company is now asking some of the employees to come back. The news of Twitter reaching out to employees who were fired was first reported by Casey Newton , Founder of Platformer News , who said that Twitter was putting together a list of names to call back.

Some of these people were reportedly laid off by mistake, while others were let go, but then Twitter’s management realized these employees are actually needed to build the new features Musk wants.
