Akshay Kumar is known for his back to back releases in a year. A man who never relaxes or sit back with just few releases . However looking at 2022 time seems to be unfavorable for Akshay . Which is why Akshay is gearing up to mark his digital debut.
During the Red Sea International Film Festival, Akshay kumar spoke and revealed to “Deadline” about his next project -his long awaited series which will commence shooting next year. As per reports the script has been completed and and the title (formally announced as ‘The End’) w will change once they begin shooting next year.
This project will mark Akshay’s debut into the digital world. He reveals it to be a science fictional web series , He was quoted saying, “it’s more on the science fiction” side of things with “a lot of action in it, I can say that.”
Meanwhile Akshay Kumar also reveals about working on a film about sex education, a topic he feels is important to talk about. “I like doing social films which can make a difference, especially in my country and in anybody’s life,” he said, according to reports .
“I just pick up those topics and I make a film, but I make it in a very commercial way where obviously there are songs, there’s comedy, there’s drama, there’s tragedy. So, I take real stories and adapt it and cover it up with all the commercial things,” Akshay added.
While speaking on the film industry being affected globally, he said that every film industry has to be smarter and work harder to lure the audiences back to the theatres. “I think we have to try much harder than we used to do earlier, we have to try harder to get them out,” he said.
He also states that it’s wrong to blame the audiences.
“It’s our fault. We need to know what they want and stop blaming (the audience) for everything because a lot of people have blamed the (audiences) and are saying they don’t want to come out, but I think it’s our turn to please them and bring them out.”
Akshay kumar who had a rough year had the following releases – Bachchan Pandey , Cuttputli , Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj and Ram Setu.
Both Bachchan Pandey & Cuttputli were South film remakes and both of them were turned down by audience.
Then people also criticized his historical film Samrat Prithviraj for distorting history and culture and hence it failed terribly . similarly Raksha Bandhan triggered racism and body shaming even though the story was good. Lastly Ram Setu failed to help Akshay raise his figures.
But now with his digital debut lets see if this can help gain his lost track back
