Three old friends, Kabir (Abhay Deol), Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) and Imraan (Farhan Akhtar), reunites after many years for a bachelor party trip before Kabir gets married. The three friends takes a road trip to Spain. However the trip changes their perception about life with many unforgettable experiences which include Laila (Katrina Kaif) and a lot of self-realisation.
This is the story of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. This film is certainly one of the best film and a favorite of many young audience. This beautiful film also has some lesser known behind the scene facts . Lets go through them –
1. Hrithik And Abhay Weren’t The First Choice, The role of Arjun and Kabir was offered to Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan first, after which it was taken to Hrithik and Abhay Deol.
2. After ZNMD was shot in Spain, there was a visible increase in tourism in Spain, In fact, Spain observed a 65% increase in tourism after the movie hit the screens and ended up using the film as a case study for a marketing management course in Spain.
3. Farhan , Hrithik and Abhay lent their voices in the famous song , Senorita. The song was indeed special as all the three actors had their own verses in the song but when after hearing Abhay Deol sing , Farhan requested him to never sing again. As per reports, Farhan wanted the song and his voice in it to remain unique forever and so he requested Abhay to never sing again.
4. Initially before ZNMD, there were different titles for this movie and before Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara it was decided to be named Running With The Bulls.
5. Although originally in the movie Imran(Farhan) was scared to jump out of the plane. But in reality Farhan Akhtar was the only one among the three to actually skydive for the scene whereas Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan ended up using body doubles for the shot.
6. The scene where Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) steps out of the car at the side of the road to have a meeting with “Yamamoto San”, actually had a scary behind the scene moment. During the shoot of the scene , as Hrithik parked the car and got out of it, he forgot to pull the handbrakes, and the car started moving towards the edge of the hill. But fortunately Hrithik sat right back in and Farhan who was faster enough to get the danger hint got out of the car super fast while Abhay Deol was still inside the car. If Hrithik had missed the timing they would have would have fallen from the hill .
