Former Meghalaya home minister RG Lyngdoh passed away on Friday.
As per sources, RG Lyngdon was battling against cancer for months, died at around 11.40 am at the age of 62.

Deeply saddened by the news of his passing. My deepest condolences to @ampareenlyngdoh & his family,” tweeted Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.
As per report, On July 11, Lyngdoh was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Bethany hospital in Shillong after his health condition deteriorated.

As per report, he was set to make a comeback into the politics of Meghalaya after a hiatus of over 14 years. RG Lyngdoh was a senior Congress leader from Meghalaya. He represented Laitumkhrah Legislative Assembly Constituency for two terms between 1998 to 2008.
