Here comes a story of an inspirational father who has set an example to prove that Parents can do anything and can make anything possible to give a better life to their children.
Bipin Kadam , a daily wage worker aged 40 from Goa has built a robot to help feed his specially-abled daughter without anyone’s support. What is even more surprising despite of not having any technical knowledge, Bipin Kadam still managed to successfully built the robot. Bipin kadam is a resident of Bethora village in Ponda taluka of south Goa.
His wife was bed-ridden for a long time because of which his ailing wife not being able to feed their specially-abled daughter.
The robot works on a voice command specifying what she wants to eat, like vegetable, dal-rice mix or other items .The robot feeds the girl, who cannot move and lift her hands. The food is kept on a plate which is a part of the robot. Bipin kadam has named his robot as “Maa Robot”
While appreciating his creation, the Goa State Innovation Council has provided financial support to Bipin Kadam to work and explore the machine further .
Bipin kadam narrates his story behind the creation, he tells that his wife who was bed-ridden about two years back was extremely sad and distressed for not being able to feed their daughter .He used to come and feed his daughter after coming from work .
About a year back ,upon insistence by his wife to do something to help feed their daughter on time without dependence on anyone, he then decided to go for a thorough search of a robot .
Bipin Kadam searched online to learn the basics of software. He further informed that he used to work for 12 hours without a break and then later spend the remaining hours in researching and learning how to make a robot. An after four months of rigorous search, he designed his robot. The smile of his daughter after seeing him returning from work boosted him to keep going .
