Guwahati: A new Application app has been developed by the Board of Secondary Education in Assam, which was launched by the Education Minister of Assam Ranoj Pegu.
The App is for the benefit of the school students, Pegu said. The education department had been exploring digital education mechanisms in keeping with the growing use of technology in all spheres of life,added Pegu.
Speaking at the launch of two mobile phone applications by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), on Tuesday, Education minister Ranoj Pegu said technology and digital means are being adopted to ensure greater benefits for students.
As per sources the app will have online lessons, question banks and worksheets, among other features, all of which will help students get information beyond what is covered in school syllabus, official said.
Through this mobile application, teacher will be able to teach, evaluate and do making,”In the course curriculum there is a part on the spoken English that carries 10 marks. Teacher earlier use tosubjectively allot marks on spoken English. But now, this mobile app will do everything, teaching, evaluating and making” said education minister Ranoj Pegu.
Academic officer at Seba, Hari narayan Das told TOI that the board will upload the question papers from time to time. Next year, all Class IX students will also have to enroll for the course, Das said.
