Assam: Guwahati city witnessed more than 300 suicides case in this year 2022.
Assam last year recorded 3095 suicide case and most emotional part is that the state itself contributed to over 2.1% of the total suicides nationally in 2020
According to the data 2021, number 3095 suicide case has been registered, officials said.
Among the most vulnerable segments have been those in the age group 15-29 years accounting for over one-third of the fatalities.
According to the report the suicide case witnessed that are mostly students due to Depression- Losing hope, sense of worthlessness,ruthless competition, love related depression are some major and failure.
According to the sources, helplines number have been receiving 20 to 25 phone calls per day and most them caller are from young age groups.
