Assam : Brown sugar around worth of Rs 1 crore was seized by the police in Hojai district Assam on Tuesday. Person, identified as Deabash Hore, was arrested.
As per report, Brown sugar worth around Rs 1 crore was seized in Assam’s Hojai district on Tuesday and a person was arrested, police said.
Police added, 983 gm of brown sugar brown sugar was made from a house at South Hill Colony in Hojai district of Assam.
As per information, the accused had allegedly brought the drugs from Dimapur to Hojai by train to sell them.
Earlier, on this month of July continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Dabaka police launched an operation on the basis of a tip off on Friday, 27 May and arrested two drug peddlers from Era-kapili village in Jamunamukh and seized suspicious heroin filled with four soap boxes from their possession. The amount of drugs seized by the police is 65 grams.
