Ever since the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone  starrer ‘Pathaan’ was released in December, 2022, it has been under the spotlight .Now we get to know that Pathaan has gone under the scanner of the Central Board of Film Certification .

While only a little more than two weeks time is left for its release, the CBFC has made 12 changes in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, including  the song Besharam Rang.

The cuts and changes are being shared on Twitter by multiple twitter accounts . Twitter users have reacted to the changes and have even termed them as laughable.

The list of changes, which has been shared on Twitter by various accounts, includes 12 suggestions from the CBFC. This includes replacing the word RAW (Reseacrh and Analysis Wing) with ‘humare (our)’ twice, and replacing PM and PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) with President and Minister a total of 13 times. In addition, references to Russia and its intelligence agency KGB have also been replaced with more generic or fictitious terms. CBFC has also replaced the name Ashok Chakra with Veer Puraskar, a fictitious award.

And the most expected, the famous Besharam Rang  has gone through changes. The  colour of Deepika’s clothes remain untouched . As per CBFC’s suggestions, a ‘close-up shot of buttocks’ and a side pose with ‘partial nudity’ have been replaced. . In addition, the document mentions that ‘visuals of sensuous dance movements are suitably curtailed’.
