We are almost used to people saying that achievements are challenged by the age factor. As the aging process goes up the passion to achieve and learn something new goes down. But we have also come across many people or probably witnessed them through social media who are not just breaking the age barriers but are also challenging this age old belief by learning a new skill or by defeating someone who are much younger and energetic to them .
Its rightfully said that age is just a number and its never too late to achieve something . Proving this fact there are many viral videos of senior citizens going beyond extraordinary. One such video was posted by a man showing his 83- year-old grandmother from Pune perfectly striking her shots during a carom tournament while competing with a much younger opponent .
The woman’s grandson named Akshay Marathe, proudly posted a tweet of his grandmother’s accomplishments , he mentioned that she won a gold medal in the doubles category and a bronze in the singles category at Pune’s All-Magarpatta City carrom tournament.
While sharing the video , he captioned it as ,
“Inspired by my 83-year-old Aaji who won Gold in the Doubles and Bronze in the singles in Pune’s All-Magarpatta City carrom tournament against much younger and steadier hands,” he said in the tweet.

Akshay also shared another tweet with two pictures of himself and his friends playing the carom with his grandmother ”Aaji”, and cheekily took some credit for her victory. He wrote, ”We can take some credit for practicing with her although @abhijeet_dipke and I got destroyed by Aaji, despite being paired with @PulkitS.”
