The state government has decided to increase the beneficiaries based on Orunodoi Scheme.
Regarding this scheme Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said, Orunodoi Beneficiaries will receive Rs 1,250 from October 10, while additional 6,000 families from each constituency in the state will be included in the scheme, said CM Sarma.
As per this information Orunodoi assistance enhanced to ₹1,250 per month from next financial year, with ₹250 additional subsidy for 50 units of electricity. In addidtion to that 6000 families from each constituency will be added which is approx to be 6 lakh additional benefiaciaries.
Under the scheme Assam government will provide an assistance to 17 lakh families of weaker financial background and Composite income should be less than Rs 2 Lakhs.
Under Orunodoi Scheme, priority will be given to widow, divorced, unmarried or separated woman along with families with specially abled member.
During a speech in the state’s Udalguri district, on Tuesday CM says, Orunodoi beneficiaries to get signboards outside their houses.
Orunodoi Scheme is a new scheme of the government of Assam lunched on 2nd October 2020. Under ‘Orunodoi’ monetary benefits has been envisaged for more then 24 lac poor household in the state.
