A shocking incident has come into light after a Haryana police officer attempted to swallow an amount of Rs 4000 bribe money after he was caught red handed .
The vigilance officers in Faridabad caught the accused Haryana Police sub-inspector red-handed while he was accepting a bribe. As soon as he was about to be arrested by the officers, he shockingly attempted to swallow the bribe money to get rid of the evidence. Now the video of the moment has gone viral on social media platforms.
In the video it is seen that the accused sub-inspector tried to swallow the money while the vigilance officers were seen struggling to take out the money from his mouth . Amid the struggle another man who seemingly was an accomplice of the accused was seen trying to intervene but was pushed away by another vigilance officer. While one of the officials attempted to recover the notes by sticking his fingers in the officer’s mouth, but failed to retrieve the notes because of the struggle led by the officer’s resistance .
The sub-inspector has been identified as Mahender Ula posted in Sector 3 police station.

According to the claim made by the officials, the accused demanded a bribe from a man in order to take action against a suspected buffalo thief.
Ascper reports the victim named Shubhnath, whose Buffalo was stolen, was asked to pay the officer Rs 10,000.
Initially the victim had already given the officer 6,000 rupees, but before paying him the rest of the amount which is Rs 4000, Shubhnath informed the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau and lodged a complaint. The vigilance team then set a trap and caught the police officer red-handed in the act .
According to further reports , Sub-Inspector Mahendra initially asked for Rs 15,000 but the matter was settled to Rs 10,000.

An FIR has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act at the VB.
