Commonwealth Games 2022, date has been declared which will start from 28th of July. The main moto of Commonwealth Games 2022 is “games for Everyone” . The competition seeks to send a message of unity and embrace diversity.
The Commonwealth is an association of countries across the world. The Organisation consist of 53 countries including the United Kingdom. Former colonies of Britain are part of this grouping- decision to join the group was discretionary in not mandatory. India decided to be part of it. It proclaims that the Commonwealth bnations are “free and equal.” Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of the Commonwealth. The position is symbolic.
The mascot was designed by a 10-year-old girl called Emma Lou from Bolton. The bull gets its name from the Perry Barr arena. Perry is the mascot of 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Although there are 56 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, 72 teams currently participate in the Commonwealth Games as a number of dependent territories compete under their own flags
