The season of IPL Auction 2023 begins, the Indian Premier League’s Auction 2023 is ready to be held on December 23 in Kochi where all the top players from India and overseas will go under the hammer for a chance to play in the grand cricket league in the world.
A total of 405 players will go under the hammer which includes 273 Indians, and 132 overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. And Ten IPL franchises will play tug of war to grab the best player , be it the best batters, bowlers and all-rounders. This year BCCI has allowed live video conferencing among the management stuff of the teams from the auction table.

- Harry Brook (England) – Rs 1.5 crore
- Ajinkya Rahane (India) – Rs 50 lakh
- Joe Root (England) – Rs 1 crore
- Rilee Rossouw (South Africa) – Rs 2 crore
- Kane Williamson (New Zealand) – Rs 2 crore
- Sam Curran (England) – Rs 2 crore
- Cameron Green (Australia) – Rs 2 crore
- Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) – Rs 1.5 crore
- Jason Holder (West Indies) – Rs 2 crore

Some players have been grouped into the ₹75 lakh, ₹50 lakh, and ₹20 lakh price categories. In the IPL’s upcoming 2023 season, the Impact Player will make its debut. The Impact Player, a player who can both bowl and bat, will be able to be substituted by the teams once per game.
According to reports , among the 10 teams ,the winners of 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), have the maximum amount remaining in their purse to splurge at the auction.
