Various programs are being organized for a week based on the theme ‘Desh ki protection- country’s security’ in the celebration of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi by the 24th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal stationed at Rangiya, deployed on the Indo-Bhutan border. Free Human and Veterinary Camp was organized in Nalapara village of Indo-Bhutan border area under the direction of Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant of 24th Battalion, Dr. Chandan Talukdar, Commandant (Veterinary) and Dr. Bandana Devi Kharibam, Assistant Commandant (Veterinary). Medicine) was done on 07.03.2022. Under this medical camp program, about 250 patients of the border area were examined and free medicines were distributed. Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant of 24th Battalion informed that such camps are organized from time to time by the SSB for the poor people residing in the border areas so that the border people get free medical treatment, medicines and related to animals. After this program, the villagers appreciated and thanked the SSB for this. Other officers and soldiers of the villagers and SSB were also present during the program.
Along with this, under the program ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a ‘Dog Show’ was organized at the 24th Battalion Headquarters, Rangia, in which the dog squad of the Battalion captivated the children and others present by showing their feats. During this, the dog squad found the drugs buried in the ground, as well as found the person carrying the consignment of liquor hidden in the bag from the crowd, apart from this, the dog squad showed many other excellent performances.
During this program the battalion Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant, informed that under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, 24th Battalion is organizing many programs, including distribution of free human and animal medicines to the poor people along the Indo-Bhutan border, to the force personnel who sacrificed their lives. Programs will be organized to honor families and educational tours to meritorious schoolgirls. All the officers, jawans and members of Sandiksha (Wives Welfare Association) were also present on this occasion.
