A CBI inquiry into the APPSC assistant engineer (civil) question paper leakage case has been recommended by the Arunachal Pradesh government. The APPSC’s Assistant Engineer (Civil) exam question paper which was conducted on August 26 and 27 was leaked.
While addressing the media, Home Minister Bamang Felix said that with CBI inquiry the question paper leakage case will be deeply investigated and this will ensure a free, fair, impartial and swift investigation.
Although police investigations are done thoroughly but CBI enquiry as an addition will help in further investigation. So far five people have been arrested by Police in connection with the case.
Meanwhile on Monday during media interaction in Ziro in Lower Subansiri district after inaugurating a slew of projects, Arunachal CM Pema Khandu said the State government has decided to hand over the investigation to the CBI.
The CM said that since APPSC being considered as the highest recruitment institution of the State so any kinds corruption and faulty recruitment process will not be tolerated.”
He further added that the paper leakage case has created a negative impact and a bad impression among job aspirants about the APPSC and the State government. Who so ever involved in the corruption will not be spared in any circumstances.
However APPSC secretary Jayanta Kr Ray informed that the candidates who appeared in the prelims exam for the assistant engineers’ posts will be eligible to reappear in the examination.
