As per reports, the Dispur police station will be relocated near the Gopal Boro government higher secondary school in Ganeshguri area. The relocation will be completed within the next 10-15 days.
Earlier, after 68 years the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup Metro district has been shifted from Panbazar to Khadi Haat in Hengrabari.
The Dispur Police Station is known to be the the second-oldest police station in Guwahati t which takes hold of all cases of the High Security zone, including those of the Ministers’ Colony, MLAs’ Hostel, Janata Bhawan and the Assam Legislative Assembly.
