Members of a non political organization “Arunachal Against Corruption” (AAC) has embarked on a Foot March from Itanagar to Delhi alleging rampant corruption charges against Pema Khandu, Chief Minister, Arunachal Pradesh .
AAC was protesting for 28 days from 23rd July – 19th August at IG Park, Tennis Court, Itanagar, against the Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu but the organization says that due to the unresponsive attitude of state government ‘AAC’ has planned larger protest program in the form of Foot March from Itanagar to New Delhi which started on August 21, Sunday completing six days till date.
The team of 18 members led by Tarh Tahar, President, AAC and Pancho Taluk, Vice President, AAC had their first night halt at Holongi, second at Barangabari ,Ghahigaon, third at Biswanath Chariali, fourth at Taj Lodge, Balipara and on fifth at Mission Chariali, Tezpur. Today they will proceed via Dhekiajuli-Mangaldoi Road and is likely to halt at Dhekiajuli.
Currently the team has 15 members as four members returned to Itanagar with one lady advocate joining two days back ..
The team has been accompanied by one Innova Car since the start on August 21. The team targets to reach New Delhi in 80 days and aims to meet the President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah , J.P. Nadda, National President of BJP in New Delhi.
As per reports the team has been financed by opposition Congress leaders including 2 BJP Ministers who want removal of Pema Khandu.
