The GoalMart team from Goalpara headed by Deputy Commissioner Goalpara, Mrs Meenakshi Das Nath, ACS, District Development Commissioner Ms Ashrumoni Malakar, ACS and District Informatics Officer (NIC Goalpara) Mr Bhaskar Malakar, Scientist-C has received the GOLD award today on 7th Jan 2022.
The project GoalMart of District Administration Goalpara of Assam has bagged the prestigious GOLD award in the 24th National Conference on e-Governance
under the Category-I : Excellence in Government Process Re-Engineering for Digital Transformation held on 7-8th Jan 2022, in Hyderabad. DC goalpara Meenakshi Das Nath has received the award today along with her team from Sh Jitendra Singh, Union Minister in hyderabad .
GoalMart is an initiative of District Administration Goalpara to provide an online marketing platform for the local producers of Goalpara district.
Goalpara district has many differentiated local products including items with cultural values of local tribal population. Goalpara district also has huge scope in agricultural products like – Black Rice, Dragon Fruit, Sweet Malta, Cocoa, Bananna, Handicrafts, pottery, Traditional attire, Sital Pati etc. Although these products are fairly popular in local markets, the local producers were not able to expand their business limiting the vast opportunities and financial gain. The products that are produced by local producers don’t have a proper marketing system to sell their products and to get desired price.
In view of above, the District Administration, Goalpara has planned to create an online market with an aim to encourage the local producers by promoting local products of Goalpara throughout the country.
The North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretariat, Shillong has provided fund under the category – Electronic Market Linkage during the Financial Year 2018-19 under Aspirational District Programme of Niti Ayog.
GoalMart is designed & developed in house by DIO, NIC, Goalpara using open sourced technology.
District Administration Goalpara has tied up with Razorpay for Payment Gateway, State Bank of India as Banking Partner, E-Com Express as Delivery Partner and BRUK Enterprise as GST Partner.
ASRLM, Goalpara and Agia Agro Producers Co. Ltd coordinates with local SHGs and look after the Quality Control, Stock Management & Packaging.
