India’s first-ever event in the history of Aero-Sports category ,”North East’s Aero Sports Hot Air Balloons and Para-motors Fiesta 2023″,will be launched on February 11, 2023 in Manipur.
The 1st edition of Northeast Aero Sports Hot Air Balloons and Para-Motors is presented by SkyFunzy, a unit of Khasia Ventures Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Capt. Imochaoba Singh who holds the first pilot license issued by the DGCA for Hot Air Balloon along with being the DGCA ’s first flight instructor rating holder in India, and the only trainer for the Indian Army & Navy. It will be held for seven days at Phubala Public Ground (near Loktak Lake), Bishnupur district.
Govindas Konthoujam Manipur’s sports minister said that such festivals would not only boost the tourism sector but will also be beneficial in improving the sports culture in this category. The minister further said that organizing such event will attract many foreign tourists to Manipur.
While speaking further, he said, that the state government will extend all possible aid to make the fiesta a grand success.
During the seven day-event , there will be a mass ascent of five balloons and five paramotors, skydiving shows, and numerous other flights.
The event will also witness more than 2,00,000 visitors and more than 10 million online viewers.
While addressing the media , Captain Imochaoba Singh informed that hot air balloon and para-motors are one of the safest air sports and the hot air balloon will have both the facilities of threading and free-fly.
Managing director of Khasia Ventures, P Aristotle stated that the fiesta will provide a platform for the youth to experience aero sports and also it will help empower the youths to choose a future career in aero sports and various extreme and adventuristic sports.
He further said that Manipur tourism will get a boost through this fiesta and will drive tourists towards the state.
