One more controversy of another school broke out as a female student allegedly attempted suicide in the school dormitory after being harassed by a teacher.
The name of the school is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Banekuchi of Nalbari district.
According to reports two other students also accused the teacher of mental harassment.
The incident came to light after a team from the Human Rights Commission arrived at the school on Tuesday afternoon to conduct an investigation based on a complaint filed by the family of the girl who had attempted suicide.
Meanwhile, Ajit Kumar, the principal of the school has denied such allegations by saying that the teacher had been subjected to the physical and mental torture of a student in the hostel.
The victim’s family and other concerned people are hoping to receive justified results post investigation by the Human Rights Commission .
