The Tripura Chief Minister – Dr Manik Saha informed that the state is getting ready to set up the 3rd medical college in Dhalai District for which the state government has undertaken required measures.
Moreover the Tripura Government also intends to establish a Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in association with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), for state-of-the-art amenities to deliver adequate and compatible healthcare services to the citizens.
While addressing a programme on Friday held at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya in Unakoti district, theTripura CM also said that the state administration is planning and working to set-up another medical college at Ambassa.
He informed “that the project is at the final stage of consideration and the proposal has already been sent to the central government, for necessary clearance and funding”.
