Union defence minister Rajnath Singh, visited Dibrugarh’s army station at Dinjan.
The union defence minister is on a two-day visit to forward posts in eastern Arunachal Pradesh from September 28 to 29 to figure out the operational preparedness along the China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
Indian Army chief – General Manoj Pande and chief of eastern army chief Lieutenant General RP Kalita along with other senior officers accompanied the union defence minister.
During his visit , Rajnath Singh reviewed the infrastructure development along the China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
The union defence minister was also briefed on the capability development and operational preparedness .
The defence minister subsequently reviewed the operational readiness of the formation in the easternmost part of the country. Amidst the visit the union defence minister was also briefed on deployment of cutting edge military equipment and technology to enhance operational efficiency of the troops deployed in frontlines.
Meanwhile on Thursday, September 29, while visiting the forward posts of the Indian Army to to figure out the operational preparedness of the troops and also interact with them.
Also the union defence minister will also speak with the members of the second religious expedition to Athu Popu, an annual trek of local Idu Mishmi tribe, which has been facilitated by Indian Army since 2021 as part of the Army’s outreach and constant efforts to extend support to the locals and development of tourism.
