As part of the pineapple festival in Manipur ,Pineapple Queen 2022 beauty pageant was organised.
Nemnunhoi Khongsai wins the title of Miss Pineapple Queen 2022 .Nemnunhoi is from Lhungtin village of Saikul in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district.
The two-day pineapple festival was hosted at Bunglon village, situated at 45 km south west of Imphal in Churachandpur.
Meanwhile The 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up title of the beauty pageant was received by Nengjaikim Baite and Irengbam Pinky Devi respectively.
There were also 6 Sub-title holders in the contest.
A cash prize of Rs 50, 000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 were awarded to the first three title winners while a cash prize of Rs 7,000 was awarded to the each sub-title holders .
There were a total of 14 contestants who participated from various parts of the state and the beauty contest was organised with an aim to popularise pineapple cultivation in the state.
Aparr from that active participation was seen in the pineapple festival by more than 50 pineapple cultivators.
As prize Cash incentives of Rs 50, 000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 along with certificates were awarded to the three best pineapple growers–Lamhoih of Khousabung, Irine Chinneihtheing of Bunglong and Hatchin of Molvon village, all from Churachandpur district.
